Protect your data from browser
You probably don’t know that any data you have typed at web browser including your private information like bank account, password and credit card number may be monitored by cyber criminal who we called as keyloggers. Keyloggers will observe and record as you move your keystrokes along that may be misused by any intruders without your notice. We used to have anti-virus and anti-spyware programs installed on computers but unfortunately they are ineffective in dealing with this attack. The only method to solve this issue is to have an anti-keylogging program installed at the first place. Known as KeyScrambler v2.4.1.1, it will able to protect every single character you have typed into your browser from being stolen by Keyloggers.
KeyScrambler is a add-on browser that can be very reliable and easy to use. It help to protect anything you have typed on web browser by encrypting your keystrokes at the keyboard driver level in the kernel, it then decrypts the keystrokes at the application interface so that you can see exactly the same content as you have typed. By having KeyScrambler installed in your computer, Keylogger has no way to steal your data anymore as all those it got is only the encrypted junk data. Unlike other traditional anti-virus programs, it doesn’t require you to upgrade from time to time but still can be used effectively to defeat old and new, known and unknown keyloggers. Another great feature that worth to highlight here is in order to let you have better picture of what has been encrypted by KeyScrambler, it will show you the live encryption while you are typing, so that you are more convinced with how it works with proper encryption as you type in.
Here you can find the KeyScrambler Personal 2.4.1.1 is absolutely free download and it only support IE (version 6 or 7), Firefox (version 1.5 and above) and Flock (version 1.0 and above) browser.

Prevent stolen vehicle from restarting with remote ignition block
We have discussed another method about anti car theft device .
But car theft is still a common incident despite the introduction of various security measures to prevent the crime. OnStar, a subsidiary of General motor has rolled out a new vehicle security tool which can prevent car thieves from restarting the stolen vehicle once the ignition is shut off. The system which is called Remote Ignition Block will allow an OnStar Advisor to send remote signals to the subscriber’s stolen vehicle to stop the vehicle from restarting once the vehicle is turned off. Stopping a stolen vehicle in this manner is much safer compared to technology which slows down the stolen vehicle. After all, the stolen vehicle might be speeding in a high speed highway and sudden deceleration might affect others’ safety.

To avoid unnecessary problems such as blocking ignition on the wrong vehicle, OnStar subscribers must confirm that their vehicle is stolen by making a police report. With the police’s confirmation, the subscribers can request assistance from OnStar to locate the stolen vehicle with its on-board GPS system and thence send the signal to block the vehicle’s next ignition.
But I don’t know the availability of this service in some countries; hopefully it will come far and wide.
Virus infected: Enable show hidden files and folders
Some virus or Trojans can hide themselves into a corner of the system, and sometimes it effectively force disable the “show all hidden files and folders” or “show all hidden files, folders and drives” option under the “folder options”. When it happens, hidden files, folders and drives on the PC do not been shown or displayed even though user has attempted to apply the settings to show the hidden files. The virus implements a policy such as “Shockwave.dll” that’s forcing system to keep hidden files forever not visible or hidden.
If your anti-virus or anti-malware solution is unable to get rid of the malware, and you’re very much needed to view the hidden files, here’s the workaround to enable system to show hidden files and folders again. There are many viruses that may cause the hidden files cannot be visible error, thus the following solution may not work on some system.
- Go to Start Menu and click on Run (vista and Windows 7 uses Start Search instead).
- Type regedit and press Enter to run
- Navigate to the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\
CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced\Folder\Hidden\SHOWALL
- In the right pane, verify that the CheckedValue value data is REG_DWORD type. If it’s not (such as belongs to REG_SZ), then delete the CheckedValue value data.
- If CheckedValue has been delete, create a new DWORD (32-bit) Value and name it as CheckedValue.
- Double click on CheckedValue and change its value data to 1 (virus may change it to 0 or 2).
- Within the same registry key, verify that the Type value data is of REG_SZ type, and has the value data radio. If not, set it to radio. Virus may change it to blank.
- Set the system to reveal or show all hidden files, folder and drives, and then check if hidden files and folders are show.

Remote Shutdown
XP PRO has a lot of fun utilities. One of the most useful ones I have found to date is the ability to remotely reboot a PC. There are 2 ways of doing this. You will need to have admin access to the PC to perform these actions. That being said, here is the first way to do it:
Right click my computer, choose manage.
Highlight the Computer Management (Local) then click on Action, choose connect to another computer.
In the window that opens fill in the machine name of the PC you want to connect to and click ok.
Once connected right click on Computer Management (Remote machine name) and choose properties.
Go to the “Advanced” tab and click the Settings button under Start up and recovery.
Click on the Shutdown button.
Under action choose what you want to do (you can log off current user, shut down, restart, or power down. you can also choose if you want to force all applications to close, close hung apps, or wait for all apps to close by themselves).
The second way… Remember dos… that good old thing. Open up a command prompt and enter in the following:
%windir%\System32\shutdown.exe -r -m \\Machinename. The command prompt has more switches and options. I highly suggest using shutdown.exe /? to see all the possibilities.
That’s it!!!

Once installed and launched the software utility, you will be brought to a simple GUI. Over here, users have option to either add files or folders by simply browse and add into them into the list. To be more user friendly, users can tick the files/folders restriction to be ‘Accessible’,’ Writable’, ‘Deletable’ or ‘Visible’ so that they can be refrained from different level of accessibility. For instances, you may want to restrict certain files to be read only, or don’t want them to be deleted intentionally,or even better is ability to hide them from others’ visibility. WinXP Tips & Tricks – Winsock 2 Repair
Repairing Damaged Winsock2
The symptoms when Winsock2 is damaged show when you try to release and renew the IP address using IPCONFIG…
And you get the following error message:
An error occurred while renewing interface ‘Internet’: An operation was attempted on something that is not a socket.
Also Internet Explorer may give the following error message:
The page cannot be displayed Additionally, you may have no IP address or no Automatic Private IP Addressing (APIPA) address, and you may be receiving IP packets but not sending them.
There are two easy ways to determine if Winsock2 is damaged:
From the XP source files, go to the Support / Tools directory
Winsock Test Method 1
Run netdiag /test:winsock
The end should say Winsock test ….. passed
Winsock Test Method 2
Run Msinfo32
Click on the + by Components
Click on the by Network
Click on Protocol
There should be 10 sections if the Winsock2 key is ok
MSAFD Tcpip [TCP/IP]
MSAFD Tcpip [UDP/IP]
RSVP UDP Service Provider

MSAFD NetBIOS [\Device\NetBT_Tcpip…
MSAFD NetBIOS [\Device\NetBT_Tcpip…
MSAFD NetBIOS [\Device\NetBT_Tcpip…
MSAFD NetBIOS [\Device\NetBT_Tcpip…
MSAFD NetBIOS [\Device\NetBT_Tcpip…
MSAFD NetBIOS [\Device\NetBT_Tcpip…
If the names are anything different from those in this list, then likely Winsock2 is corrupted and needs to be repaired.
If you have any 3rd party software installed, the name MSAFD may be changed.
There should be no fewer than 10 sections.
To repair Winsock2
Run Regedit
Delete the following two registry keys:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Winsock
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Winsock2

Format Nokia Symbian Mobile Phones in Simple Steps
Yes, we know that how to do factory reset to the default condition by the security code.but sometimes we don’t know what is the code. So here is another useful code that can be used to hard reset your mobile phone to original factory condition without worrying about the security code correctness.
For the start, make sure the phone is in OFF condition. On the phone keypad, press and hold down the key ‘3’, ‘*’ and ‘Talk’ buttons simultaneously, then followed by a power ON button press. Wait for few seconds until a ‘formatting’ word appeared on the mobile screen and then release the buttons. The whole process will take less than one minute with the progress bar showing the status of formatting. Again be cautious that by doing these combination button press you are actually doing a deep hard reset on your mobile, which also means it will erase everything including your profile, personal data and put the phone back to factory default setting.
This is especially useful whenever your symbian mobile phone is experiencing software instability due to virus infection or installed applications and without costing you any fils, the simple tips will help you recover them in simple steps.
Send Emails securely with secrets
Hmm…Did you ever think that how much secure your email data when you send it over any public Wi-Fi or any net cafe?
Well, there are lot of opportunity for hackers to grab your data(even the wifi or netcafe owners can able to grab your data).
Of course, all the technologies are made by human, so there would be a back hole for everything
What happen if you encrypt your data with any encryption form like des, 3 des , sha, md5, AES and etc…..? Do they able to trace even this? The answer is yes… But it is too risky game
, I guess the hackers just will leave you alone… so it is a good thing better than nothing!
For the secure email sending you can use this website https://secrets-app.appspot.com/
In order to use this service, you must register and login by using Gmail account. Once you have login to this service, you can compose an email by clicking on Compose button, then type the recipient email address and message, follow by click on Encrypt & Send button. A window will be popped up asking you to set a password to decrypt the message. You must remember this password correctly as it will not be saved in the database. To acknowledge the recipient of this password, you need to share it via instant messenger, voice, SMS and etc. The recipient will get an email notification and he needs to click the link as specified in the email in order to retrieve the message. The retrieved message is in encryption format and to decrypt it, the recipient must enter the password as provided by sender.
That’s it for today…
